Greetings and Salutations!
You have stumbled upon the icon archive journal for ladybates (aka the "artist" known as Kimi). How? Beats me but hey, you're here so might as well take a look around. :) I don't tend to specialize in one particular fandom - I'm far too random and scatterbrained for that - but I like Lord of the Rings a lot and thus the journal name and Faramir theme...Oh screw it, I make a lot of LotR icons (at least I did when I made this journal). Not intentionally mind you. ::winks:: Here's some examples of my work.

I'm currently using Photoshop 4.0 and am constantly learning new tricks and experimenting so I don't think I really have any set "style" yet. Learning is fun!


Comment - I guess you don't have to, but it makes me feel loved :)
Credit - not necessary, but appreciated
Share - always, unless otherwise specified (which will probably be next to never)

I'm not very picky about these things probably because right now I see making icons more as "play" then "work". Credit is nice but I won't blow a casket about it if I'm not. Especially when it comes to bases because in my personal opinion, unless there's something extraordinarily artistic about it, anyone can crop a picture and adjust a few levels. Even slapping on some simple text is no biggy. I guess I might be a little peeved if someone claims anything specifically mine (as in exact icon) as their own, but that's about it. Oh and immatation is the highest form of flattery so go ahead and customize or alter anything.


I'll accept requests for things like bases or text variations and try to fulfill them to the best of my ability. As mentioned earlier I only have Photoshop 4.0 so I can't do brushes (I don't even know what they are to tell you the truth) or anything spectacular. And when it comes to animation I have to do each frame by hand and can only cap things in .mov (Quicktime) format because I don't have a fancy smancy animation program - just a very limited one that's programmable through DOS. But otherwise, ask and you shall receive...something, if just a response. Heh. ;)
